Our Staff – Front Office
Yady Walker, Office Manager
Yady has been with KHPT since its inception in 2013 and has taken the role of handling all tasks pertaining to the administration of the clinic, as well as its daily operations that consist of insurance verification/authorization, patient scheduling, staff coordination. Yady comes with an extensive background when dealing with the management of an outpatient therapy clinic after working with Physiotherapy and Associate for over 18 years.
Yady’s greatest strengths are her time management skills, patience and leadership role that has helped KHPT reach the level it has.
Our Staff – Occupational Therapy
James (Jim) Jackson, MS, OTR/L, CHT
Jim is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1970 and a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Buffalo in 1978. He was certified in Hand Therapy in 1991 and has over 35 years of experience in treating disease and trauma of the upper extremity. Jim opened his private practice in 1982 and is presently the owner/director of KHPT. Jim served in the Army Reserve Medical Specialist Corp for 22 years and retired as a major.
Fredd Tirado, BS, OTR/L, CHT
Fredd graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Florida International University in 2001. He was born and raised in South Florida and is proud to serve and rehabilitate patients both in his local and international community. Fredd is also a Board Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) trained to treat complex Upper Quadrant/ Quarter injuries in a professional and supportive manner in order to restore full use of his patients’ affected extremities for work/daily activities. Additionally, he is certified to complete Pre-Employment screenings. Fredd enjoys spending his free time with family and kayaking in the Florida Keys.
Kristina Sosa MS, OTR/L, CLT
Kristina graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2008. Since then she has been working as an occupational therapist treating a variety of orthopedic/neurological injuries of the hand and upper extremities, and providing complete decongestive therapy to patients suffering from lymphatic/vascular disorders. Additionally, she is a licensed Massage Therapist that graduated from Educating Hands School of Massage in 2004 and recently became a Certified Lymphatic Therapist with The Academy of Lymphatic Studies. She enjoys doing outdoor activities (fishing, biking, and running) and playing all types of sports. She is very passionate about physically and mentally helping and guiding people through their rehabilitation process and maximizing their quality of life.
Mariam Robleto, COTA
Mariam graduated from Keiser University in 2012 as a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has been working at KHPT since her graduation and has been assisting our CHTs in treating patients with upper extremity conditions. Mariam has a background in Medical Case Management. She also enjoys spending time with family.
Juan Gabriel Colome, MS, OTR/L
Juan is an certified Occupational Therapist and graduated from Florida International University with his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014 and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2017. Juan has treated a variety of orthopedic conditions, which include the hand, elbow, and shoulder and has strong aspirations to advance to the specialty of CHT (Certified Hand Therapist). He has a strong ambition to assist individuals in returning to their independent everyday lives. Juan enjoys hiking, working out, and listening/playing different styles of guitar.

Danielle Dea, PT, DPT
Danielle earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine and has been practicing in the Kendall area for 4 years. She has a special interest in treating general orthopedic conditions as well as neurological conditions, including balance and gait training. Her treatment philosophy is to provide individualized care specific to the patient’s needs through manual therapy and specialized therapeutic interventions. Danielle has been pursuing her certification in The McKenzie Approach in order to treat a wide variety of spine conditions. Danielle enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, snorkeling, playing basketball and boating.
Armando J. Diaz, PT, DPT
Armando received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University and went on to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Florida International University. While at Florida State University, he was able to work closely with the Men’s/Women’s Swimming/Diving and Tennis teams, respectively. Growing up in Miami, soccer was always his number one priority and always wanted to make an effort to give back to the sport he always loved by offering therapy services, and education to the kids, parents, as well as coaches, about injury prevention and awareness. Armando has focused his efforts in the rehabilitation of sports and orthopedics, especially in the adolescent population. He has also had success in re-conditioning high-level athletes, from the high school to professional level. Armando has an interest in health promotion and wellness and enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with his family and friends. He is also a huge supporter of the Miami Heat and Florida State.
Alison Carr, PT, DPT
Dr. Alison Carr, Pt, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who has over 20 years of classical ballet experience. She studied at the Joffrey Ballet School, Milwaukee Ballet School, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. While a student at FSU, Alison danced in the Tallahassee Ballet Company corps.
Alison is a certified yoga instructor, and currently teaches Vinyasa yoga classes in the Miami area. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami, and now treats adult and adolescent dancer for various orthopedic injuries, in addition to treating the general population.
Jose Martinez, DPT, CSCS
Jose graduated from Florida International University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018 and is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the national Strength and Conditioning Association. He has a clear passion for working with the adolescent population and has served as a volleyball coach for local high schools and club teams on numerous occasions. Regardless of the population, Jose realizes he has an immense opportunity within this profession to help patients during some of the most physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging times of their lives. Jose is a home team supporter of the Dolphins and Marlins. Recently, he has been spearheading a mentorship program catered to undergraduate students attempting to enter the DPT program.
KHPT has been affiliated with the following High Schools, Colleges, and Universities to offer either Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, as well as health/exercise science Academy students an option for their internships or field work rotations.
